Genoa International Boat Show

Visitors to the Genoa International Boat Show can expect the full range of Mediterranean boating, from sailing dinghies and day cruisers to performance motor yachts and larger sailing cruisers. Exhibitors typically include established Italian builders, whose craftsmanship and interior finishing draw particular attention, alongside international yards, tender and inflatable makers, engine and electronics suppliers, and specialists in rigging, upholstery, and marine equipment. Many displays emphasise refits and customisation as much as new hulls, so practical gear often sits beside the aspirational models.

The crowd is a mix of experienced owners, brokers, crew, marina professionals, and enthusiasts who want to step aboard boats before committing. The mood is relaxed but purposeful. Conversations with sales staff run long, demonstrations draw small knots of onlookers, and the city's maritime heritage gives the event a distinctive backdrop. Visitors who plan ahead tend to leave with a shortlist of builders, brokers, and service contacts for the season ahead.
